Update: Redwood Industrial Theme, Version 28

Version 28 brings together every improvement we have made since version 27, through October 27, 2026. Here is what you will see after you update:Website and local business schema

Theme settings now include a Website Schema group. Enable website schema is off until you turn it on. While it is off, your pages do not add this markup.

The switch lives in theme settings. The details live in a global module, because theme settings cannot store that text. Open any page in the editor and click the Website Schema bar at the top. That bar is only in the editor. It does not show on the live page.

From there you set the organization type, name, logo, description, and profile links. The default type is Organization. Choose Local business, Professional service, or Store when you also want an address, telephone, opening hours, map coordinates, and a price range. Empty fields are left out.

The homepage also describes the site itself. If your account has a content search results page, that description includes a search action.

FAQ schema on accordions

Each Accordion has a Schema group in the Content tab. Question and Answer schema is off by default.

Turn it on only when the items are real questions and answers, and only on one accordion per page. Each item with a title and a detail becomes a question and an accepted answer. Items missing either field are skipped. Your style settings stay as they are.

Logo slider

Each logo now sits in the vertical center of its slide, including when the images are different heights.

Each logo also has a Logo Link field. Leave it empty and the logo stays an image. Add a link when the logo should go somewhere. Email and phone links work, and you can open the link in a new tab or mark it nofollow.

Accordions

Opening and closing a panel eases the height instead of snapping shut. The first item still opens right away on load when Auto Open First Item is on. Visitors who prefer reduced motion get the change immediately, without the animation.

Question Color in Styles now colors the question itself, whether the item is open or closed.

Buttons keep their border

Style 2 and Style 3 no longer lose their border when someone hovers. Hover changes only that style’s border color and keeps the border width you set.

The border is drawn inside the button. A button with a border and a button without one stay the same height when the padding and type match.

Favicon

The theme now uses the favicon from your brand settings. A domain favicon is used when one is set. Otherwise it falls back to the primary favicon.

Saved settings on your existing pages stay in place. Schema stays off until you turn it on. Update the theme to 28.0 and you are set.

We hope you enjoy our continued efforts to make our Redwood themes as great and powerful as possible! Keep the feedback and questions coming in, because that is what drives most of our updates.
