Version 27 brings together every improvement we have made since version 26, through October 19, 2026. Here is what you will see after you update:
Clearer menu arrows
Desktop and tablet menus now use a chevron to show that an item has a submenu. Top-level items point down. Items inside a dropdown point right. The chevron follows your menu link color, including the hover color you already set in theme settings. The last item in the desktop menu lines up with the edge of your content.
On mobile, each submenu uses a plus icon. Opening the item rotates that plus into a close icon, in the same color as your mobile menu links.
A sharper mobile menu
The overlay behind the mobile menu no longer blurs the menu itself, so labels stay easy to read. On a transparent header, the three bars of the hamburger icon change color together as the header becomes solid.
Blog search filters the page again
On the original Blog List template (Blog Isotope Listing), the search box filters the posts on the page as someone types. It still works together with the tag dropdowns. Blog Listing v2 is unchanged and still uses HubSpot’s own pagination, tag pages, and site search.
Custom Buttons v2
Custom Button is no longer available when you add a new module. Use Custom Buttons v2 instead. Buttons that are already on published pages keep working. If you open a page that still has the older module, the editor shows a short note pointing you to Custom Buttons v2. That note does not appear on the live page.
The Style Guide, Module Library, My Account template, and footer now use Custom Buttons v2. A page you already built keeps the module that was saved on it until you replace it.
Testimonials and subscribe forms
New Testimonials modules use your theme’s primary color for the quote, and the background overlay starts fully clear. Testimonials you have already styled keep their saved colors until you reset those fields.
The simple subscribe form no longer uses a fixed height, so the form can grow and validation messages stay visible.
Saved settings on your existing pages stay in place. Update the theme to 27.0 and you are set.
We hope you enjoy our continued efforts to make our Redwood themes as great and powerful as possible! Keep the feedback and questions coming in, because that is what drives most of our updates.
