Update: Redwood Industrial Theme, Version 23

Many exciting updates have come to our Industrial theme, mostly tied to the header and navigation. Check out the details here so you can take advantage of the changes!

1) Added new Header Styles in the theme style settings giving two great new options:

    • Utility Bar Placement - the optional top utility bar can now be positioned above (default) or below (new) the main header!
    • Header Container Width - the header has always displayed within the theme's content container max width. Now, while that is still the default, you have the option to make the header full width. This is great for those that have larger amounts of menu items!

2) Added new Submenu Style Field - previously, the dropdown submenus in the header had a fixed width of 200px. Now, while that is the default still, you can modify this value if you'd like to give more width for longer menu item names!

3) Speaking of submenus, we made some fixes to the Submenu Dropdowns

    • You may have noticed that dropdowns were shifted a bit to the left. This is now fixed and they drop down straight beneath the parent menu items!
    • Added support for a 3rd menu level, so if your submenu has another submenu, it now displays as you'd expect. Previously, the styling for a 3rd level was not properly handled... and on mobile, it didn't even show up!

4) Made a nice improvement to the Mobile Menu by adding a max-width to the mobile menu container. Previously, it was full width and was a bit odd and clunky on tablets or smaller laptop screens where the mobile menu is active. Now, the mobile nav will show aligned to the right of the screen and maintain a more user friendly and visually pleasing width. For any website left uncovered, it has a blurred out treatment over it.

5) Updated the Isotope Blog Listing module by adding a new setting for the dynamic search. Previously, the search worked with visible content in the blog cards (title, intro text, etc), but the full content of the blog posts were not part of the search. Now, you'll find a new field in the module where you can turn on support for searching full blog content.

We did add a note with this setting as a small warning... that if you have a large amount of blog content, you may want to leave this setting off for the sake of performance.

6) Updated the Style Guide Template to make the built-in elements more responsive.

We hope you enjoy our continued efforts to make our Redwood themes as great and powerful as possible! Keep the feedback and questions coming in, because that is what drives most of our updates.
