Redwood Expiring Form Module Setup

NOTE: This module is available separately within HubSpot Marketplace and does not come included within any of our themes.

The Redwood Expiring Form Module by Growth allows you to add a HubSpot form to any of your pages, but then implement the otherwise missing functionality of setting the form to expire at a set day/time!

Do you have event registrations where you want to set a cut-off date for when people can submit a registration? What about time-limited promotions, application deadlines, limited-time offers, etc? These are all great use cases for this module!

This module can be used with any current HubSpot theme that is available in the Marketplace. In our demo page and screenshots, you will see the module used within our Redwood Industrial theme. It certainly works great within our theme, but you can use it in other themes also.

Adding the Module to a Page

redwood-add-moduleAfter installing this module, go to the page you would like to add the module to and get to the edit admin for the page. Click the "+" icon on the left toolbar to add a module. As the module is not part of your theme, you will not see it in the top "Theme modules" section. Use the search filter at the top and type "Redwood". This will quickly locate our module.

Click and drag "Redwood Expiring Form" to the right and place it where you want it on your page. After placing it on the page, click on the module to setup the options.

Step 1: Select a Form

rw-expiring-form-edit2As you would with any form module, you will need to select the form. You should have already created this form in the marketing area of your HubSpot portal. Here you will be able to search and select the appropriate form. Note that you can select forms built in the new form editor as well as the legacy form builder.

You will also enter the form title, which is optional. If set, it will display above the form and within the box that the form displays in.

Step 2: Setup Expiration Details

rw-expiring-form-edit1Scroll down past all of the normal form elements that you always see in a module where a form field exists. Then you'll find the expiration options.

Use the date and time picker to set the date and time that you want the form to expire. This should be a date in the future, which will mean the form will be displayed currently, but once the expiration date/time arrives, the form will no longer show and then be replaced by the Expiration Message.

The following rich text field is that expiration message. You can put whatever content you'd like within this field. It will show within the box that the form initially displayed in. Within the editor, if you set the expiration date to the past, you'll be able to see and preview the expiration message.

Help Text Date/Time Display

rw-expiring-help-textWithin the editor, at the top of the Expiring Form module, you will see a box like what you see here. This does NOT display on the frontend website page, but is just there as a help to you within the editor. This makes it clear for you what the current expiration date/time is set as for that form.

Styles Tab

As noted throughout this doc, there is a Styles tab that contains a full set of styling options to make this module look exactly how you want it to!

Further Customization and Support

If you would like any customization work done with your implementation of this module or would like more hands-on support, we are here and available to help! Fill out the help form on THIS PAGE to initiate that request.
